SOLID GOLD, Caribbean Business, March 1, 2001, pg. 49

"It's a golden moment for Guillennety Ortiz & Associates, Engineers and Architects, Puerto Rico's oldest design firm, celebrating 50 years in the business of helping the island move forward. And moving along, counting projects by the dozen, beginning with the design of the headquarters for the Puerto Rico Industrial Commission (now the Ramon Mellado Parsons building of the P.R. Senate) back in 1950, then of such mega projects as the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge, the interchange on highways PR-52 and PR..2 outside Ponce, (which marked the completion of the Luis A. Ferre Toll Highway), and the Alignment Section 3 of the Tren Urbano;to name but a few: Not to mention countless other transportation projects, urban renewal developments, residential buildings, recreational and industrial buildings, residential and industrial developments, low-rent housing projects, schools, Navy projects, sewage treatment plants, and what not.

Ortiz Burgos, and Eng. Pedro J. Ortiz Santiago (co-founder of GOA, together with Eng. Luis M. Guillermety Cabrera) playing hosts to GOA staffers and friends, more than happy to share the firm's track record of success, big-time.

And just so yqu don't think it's all about partying for partying's sake, a special recognition was given to employees who've been with GOA for more than 20 year-5, singling out Eduardo de Armas (49), Luis A. Costa and Eduardo Quiñones (45), Edna C. Benitez (43), Noemi F. de Torres (36), Pedro B. Ortiz (33), and Luis R. Cordero (32). Now that, and the scrumptious anniversary cake concocted by Lourdes Padilla, surely made for some memorable moments to last 50 more years. At the least..."
